Today just before leaving the camp I was at I noticed this old crate and knew I just had to shoot it. I don’t know why it was there, or for how long, but it intrigued me. So I took a few minutes to shoot it before leaving.
42 mm, 1/60 sec, f/5.0, ISO 100 (Coffee Crate)
That’s a great crate!!! Nice shot!
Love it! Chase and Sanborn’s coffee was out of the midwest I think. Wonderful crate and image.
Thanks Gina! I had never heard of that brand; that crate must be quite old!
Hi! I found your blog interesting & fun so I have nominated you for The Versatile Blogger Award 🙂 Check out my blog for more details!
Thanks! I will check it out!
Looks almost as though it could have a story attached…
🙂
I was raised in Southern California and remember Chase and Sanborn coffee so I don’t think it was just a mid west brand. This shot is perfect, especially the sepia tone you chose. Sort of washed out coffee color…
Thanks! I appreciate the ‘history’ of the company 🙂 This crate is located in Northern Mass, so who knows how far the coffee was available 🙂
Looks like it says Boston & Chicago on the crate. I’m just reading. And why didn’t you grab it for me??? Great shot by the way!
Believe me, if it wasn’t on the RR camp property, I would have snagged it (and a chest and a barrel)!
